Sand dunes and salty air, even better on gorgeous Fall days! West Falmouth moments…
October in Falmouth
Sand dunes and salty air, ah, nothing like October in Falmouth!
2023 Falmouth Road Race
The Falmouth Road Race was a gorgeous day for spectators, a little warm for runners, but not hot, not humid, not raining, and with a light breeze. As good as it gets here on race day! The runners looked great, and the spectators were as awesome as ever. This year I biked down to Elm Road, less crowded than the finish. Here’s what I saw.
My favorite foodie place in all of Maine
Even in pelting rain, Hazel’s in Rockland doesn’t disappoint. I discovered it last year when I was at a red light, going between the Colby College Museum of Art and The Farnsworth. The bright red metal roof and cheery yellow scallop trim beckoned. This week, it was my destination when I was on my way to check out Erin French’s The Lost Kitchen in the tiny town of Freedom. Last year I got the Maine crab roll, just fresh-picked local crab, delicate and delish. This week I got the grilled salmon on brioche, again local, fresh and sure worth the trip! (Go, you’ll be happy you did!)
Celebrating National Lighthouse Day!
What is better than celebrating National Lighthouse Day (August 7th) at the beautiful Nobska Light than with your Zumba sisters?! A group of us sure had a blast on Sunday dancing our hearts out with the most perfect backdrop, fantastic weather and some great music!
