Another reason why we live here – dinner on the beach at sunset! Sat evening it was with FON (Friends of Nadine), CT chapter (4 couples from CT I’ve had the good fortune to help nest here). Couldn’t have been nicer!
SSV Corwith Cramer
There’s something about seeing the Corwith Cramer docked in Woods Hole that always grabs my attention, and it’s not just because it’s the vessel that my daughter and her friend sailed on during their junior year in college. I think it’s because it’s such an anomaly in 2018 Woods Hole. And so lovely against a Woods Hole sunset.
The boat belongs to Sea Education Association, just down the road. Every few months a new group of students learn about sailing a ship by celestial navigation, and they design a research project they carry out while at sea. For some, sailing on the Corwith Cramer changes their lives. For the others, it’s an experience they remember warmly. For me, seeing the Cramer at anchor in the village – well, it’s just right.
Falmouth Carousel of Light
Most of us have enjoyed seeing kids and their grownups riding the Falmouth flying horses during the day, but have you ever seen it at night? I hadn’t, and it was really eye-catching when I came across it the other night. Take a look!
Woodneck/Saconesset
Who says the Cape is crowded? Two lonely chairs on Woodneck Beach on a gorgeous Sat morning in late August!
