I don’t know if people in my precinct vote more than in others, but it was steady on Tuesday morning at 10:30. And a bright, crisp, late winter day. It was an especially good day to be an appreciative citizen of the USA!

Cape Cod Art Association Show, “Beaches”
The Cape Cod Art Association recently sponsored a juried online photo competition, with “beaches” as the theme. Steven Heaslip was the judge, and 30 images were selected, one of them mine.
The other images are quite gorgeous and well worth looking at. Mine is a simple cell phone photo I took one evening when I was at a clambake at Old Silver Beach. Amid the other images, I think mine is like a palate cleanser, simple and refreshing.

I was driving across town late Saturday afternoon, heading west, and the orange glow in front of me was magnetic. Like others out in their cars at that moment, I headed to the nearest west-facing beach as fast as I could. This is what I saw:
