This bog, the oldest continuously operating cranberry bog in MA, was being flooded Tuesday with water from adjacent Wing Pond (and with machinery and a process at least decades-old). The rest of the harvest will happen over the next few days.

Always amazing, every night!

The bogs are flooded, and at this one at Thos Landers and Turner Rd, they’re ready for harvesting. Love this annual connection to our past!

At the end of three long days, the guys were going over work accomplished and what’s on for tomorrow. We so appreciate their dedication, work ethic, and skills. Thank you! You guys really are power-ful!

Storm has mostly died down, although it’s still gusty. This is high tide/full moon at Menauhant, no beach left, and the surf is formidable. Power is still out in some places, and there are live wires down in many places, including south of Main St and Davisville Rd. Lots of downed trees.
