I took this outside the Cape Cod Art Association in Barnstable on Saturday.
“Photo of the Year”
This photo of mine will be the “Photo of the Year” for the Upper Cape Camera Club. The judge was Bob Singer, a career photographer and photography competition judge, also Master Juried Photographer with the Cape Cod Art Association. I’m thrilled that of the 174 exhibition winners that were in the running, this one stayed with him.
I wouldn’t have made the same choice. There were several that I thought were exceptionally interesting, beautiful and skilled. Go to the UCCC website to see them. Meanwhile, I hope you enjoy this.

This is in a small complex, with the advantage of being very close to downtown, and a really low condo fee. With 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, and 1,542 s.f. – and a lovely sunroom off the back – this is a super comfortable choice, also exceptionally well-built. The price is probably a little high (I sold another unit in this complex last summer for $300,000), and it does not have a garage, but everything else is appealing here.

Smack dab on Main Street – but down a long driveway, so it’s really off Main Street – this is another really well-built condo in a small complex. Why I really like this condo is because the view off the back is outstanding. It’s beautifully landscaped and overlooks Nyes Pond. There’s even a walking path around the pond. The two bedrooms are upstairs, and that may be a drawback for some buyers, but the open first floor is particularly charming – and the garage is a definite plus as well. Love this location and view!
