You know you’re a true Cape Codder when the first topic of conversation every Spring isn’t the weather, but the hours you were stuck in traffic when the annual maintenance on the bridge reduced the lanes to one in each direction. Every year it happens; every year we forget and are caught unprepared the first couple of weeks.
What I Came Across on a Walk
You never know, and since we’ve become a town/state/nation/world of walkers in the past year, I’ve come across a lot of interesting things. This is MASSTC, The Massachusetts Alternative Septic System Test Center, a little-known site on the Mashpee/Falmouth border near Otis, that’s been in existence since the 1990’s, devising/testing/gathering data on numbers of different ways to treat waste. Who knew? Certainly not me, nor the friends I was with. But watch this video, and you’ll find out something that you almost certainly didn’t know about before, that happens to be really important.
A Good Falmouth Day
The sunshine was irresistible yesterday, and I headed straight for Chappy, just to walk, breathe, look – the best reasons to abandon tax prep!
