I don’t know if people in my precinct vote more than in others, but it was steady on Tuesday morning at 10:30. And a bright, crisp, late winter day. It was an especially good day to be an appreciative citizen of the USA!

The Cape Cod Art Association recently sponsored a juried online photo competition, with “beaches” as the theme. Steven Heaslip was the judge, and 30 images were selected, one of them mine.
The other images are quite gorgeous and well worth looking at. Mine is a simple cell phone photo I took one evening when I was at a clambake at Old Silver Beach. Amid the other images, I think mine is like a palate cleanser, simple and refreshing.
Take a look, I hope you enjoy this show!

I was trying to capture a picture that would convey “really really cold outside”, and this was the best I could do, West Falmouth Harbor across from Chappy Beach frozen over. I saw mist rising from Buzzards Bay where the ocean was warmer than the air, but I couldn’t get close enough for a good picture. It was awesome to see!
