Falmouth Cranberry Harvest Begins!
Harvesting in the steady rain yesterday gives new meaning to “wet harvest”!
Cape Cod Hydrangea Festival
Marcia and George brilliantly opened their garden early today for photographers. It was heavenly! To wander quietly amid the magic this couple has created over the last 40 years, and to have the space undistracted by the many visitors who will be here later, was a special experience. To look, to see, to appreciate, what a joy! Here’s some of what I saw.
In the last photo you will see the Woodneck Path at Marcia and George Chapman’s half acre of paradise in East Falmouth. They lugged all these stones from Woodneck Beach, then arranged and set them to create this stunning vignette. Live local! The inspiration is all around us.
This is why we live here.
Thank you, George and Marcia!
Happy 4th of July!
Falmouth is very festive on the 4th, and as always, our own hometown is host to thousands of people enjoying the holiday.
Have fun and stay safe!
June at The West Falmouth Library
Going into this iconic building, welcoming the community for over a century, is always a pleasure. But for a few days in June, going up the walk sheltered by this gorgeous tree in bloom, is unforgettable. Lucky us!
