The new play structures at the North Falmouth Elementary School. Hats off to the parents, who have been holding events and raising funds for two years to make this happen. The kids are certainly enjoying it!
New Listings, Part 3

4 Deacon Fish Lane, Falmouth
$2,500,000
This home was on the market a couple of years ago, and not a lot has been done on it since then. Although it’s just a few houses up from the charming harbor, it has barely a peek of water. At this price, I think most buyers would like to see the water, and have some kind of private beach. This has neither. Nor does it have a first floor owner’s suite. It is in nicely updated shape, though, and it does have an appealing kitchen. And it is in a charming location. This is another case of, in my opinion, a home that will have some price adjustment before being sold.
#21608652
108 Gansett Road, Falmouth
$7,900,000
Yes, you read that right, it is almost $8,000,000. And needs a couple million in work. But oh my, what a house and property! The sweeping views of Buzzards Bay are a given; and the expansive space with 8 bedrooms, 5 baths, and almost 8,000 s.f. of living space (not including the 3-car carriage house and caretaker’s apartment) are as well. Add two acres of land and gorgeous original detail from the 1920’s. But the lack of updates is daunting. Barely has heat, even. It will be interesting to see whether the next owner will restore and update it, or knock it down and start over. And what price it sells at. But for sure, a really engaging house to show!
New Listings, Part 1
From least expensive, to most, here are some of the new listings I’ve seen lately. Wait until you get to the most expensive – it’s eye-popping!

19 Lt. Hauser Lane, Falmouth
$419,900
Here’s a unique home. The right side of the house is the original, the left side an addition. The two together make a home that feels much larger than the 1,088 s.f. on the listing. Good space; a great yard; a small, tucked away dead-end street smack in the middle of town. In good condition at a reasonable price – now, this is a deal! (And the one my 7-year client should buy, but won’t, because he can’t commit.)
#21607073
10 Cachalot Lane, Falmouth
$489,000
With 4 (very small) bedrooms, 2 baths, and 1,638 s.f., this would seem to be a good house for the money, especially because it’s in a desirable location near downtown and the bike path. But it’s on a busy corner; it’s up a steep hill; the rooms are small, smaller, and smallest; and it has no garage. The best thing about the house? A wonderful, spacious porch that’s also the entrance.
#21608747
21 Stone Wall Lane, Falmouth
$549,000
This traditional Colonial is in a nice downtown location in Greengate. I picture a medical professional and family here. With 2,352 s.f., and 4 bedrooms and 2 baths, it’s got elbow room, a good floor plan in a desired neighborhood, and is only 5 minutes from the hospital. It needs updating – but at this price, any house of this size in a good location will also. It’s worth doing, though – the “bones” are good.
New Listing!
#21608557
118 Wild Harbor Road, Falmouth
$625,000
This interesting and meticulous home on an acre of gorgeous grounds dates from 1900 and was originally the barn of an estate. It was extensively renovated in the 80’s and 90’s, complete with raising the house and pouring a concrete foundation, so it’s in great shape. And unique! The floor plan is unlike any other I’ve ever seen, with first-floor living for owners, as well as 2 2-bedroom suites (complete with bathrooms) upstairs arranged off a central great room. Many of the rooms have full-height ceilings, and there are at least 7 skylights and a wall of glass across the back, exceptionally light and appealing. Contact me if you are interested and I will be happy to show it to you any time.
Wings Neck Wing Chairs at Coffee O, Falmouth Village
Couple of weeks ago I was at Coffee O, and sank right to the floor when I sat down in one of the chairs. I realized that my seller on Wings Neck was dismantling the house, and this might be the perfect opportunity for his chairs to have a new life. Hugh Birmingham, the owner of Coffee O, was at the store . I asked if he might be interested in some new chairs, and this is the result: Wings Neck wing chairs find a new home at Coffee Obsession!
