RIP Tommy Leonard, the ultimate Falmouth citizen. His legacy lives on in the Road Race, hardly the casual fun run it started as, but as much a part of the summer here as Fourth of July. Blessings for a unique soul, beloved by all, and for a life well-lived.
Pond skating – or in this case, bog skating – is alive and well on Cape Cod, in particular at the flooded bog at Carriage Shop Rd. and Thos. Landers Rd. in East Falmouth.
I wonder if the girls are skating some place outside this afternoon, too…
Landmark Dutch Elm that has graced the entrance to the main post office has succumbed. Its absence will take some getting used to.
