The Falmouth Road Race was a gorgeous day for spectators, a little warm for runners, but not hot, not humid, not raining, and with a light breeze. As good as it gets here on race day! The runners looked great, and the spectators were as awesome as ever. This year I biked down to Elm Road, less crowded than the finish. Here’s what I saw.

For a book lover like me, Falmouth Reads Together is one of the reasons I love Falmouth so much. This year the book is Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel.
To kickoff this event, they are holding discussions across Falmouth. See below if interested in attending one of the discussions.
See you there!

Marcia and George brilliantly opened their garden early today for photographers. It was heavenly! To wander quietly amid the magic this couple has created over the last 40 years, and to have the space undistracted by the many visitors who will be here later, was a special experience. To look, to see, to appreciate, what a joy! Here’s some of what I saw.
In the last photo you will see the Woodneck Path at Marcia and George Chapman’s half acre of paradise in East Falmouth. They lugged all these stones from Woodneck Beach, then arranged and set them to create this stunning vignette. Live local! The inspiration is all around us.
This is why we live here.
Thank you, George and Marcia!
